Chateau de Sours Bordeaux Rose 2009
We are proud to have been selected by Château de Sours (1 of only 3 UK based Wine Merchants) to offer the Château de Sours Rosé 2009. Martin Krajewski has maintained his credit busting prices of last year, despite the rise in duty and the weak pound, and we are able to sell it to you at under £7 per bottle. The 2009 vintage in Bordeaux was very successful with fabulous hot, dry weather in the growing season allowing the grapes to reach full maturity without a hint of disease. Harvesting started earlier than usual on September 9th. Early morning picking and fast transportation to the winery were a must to retain the all important freshness as daytime temperatures soared into 30+ degrees. The ‘state of the art’ press in the winery not only cools the grapes but allows the ‘free run juice’ to run off by gravity into the fermentation tanks. Controlling the temperature helps the freshness and the ‘free run’ juice assists the purity of the wine. Offer Ends 2nd April 2009
