Verdejo is a variety of wine grape that has long been grown in the Rueda region of Spain. Originally used to make an oxidative, Sherry-like wine today Verdejo is used to make a fresher style of white wine. Typically Verdejo dominated wines are crisp with soft, creamy, nutty overtones, and sometimes accompanied by notes of honey.
