Chateau Haut-Bergey has been owned by Sylviane Garcin-Cathaird since the early 1990s but dates back to the 15th century. It is located in the Graves-Pessac Leognan region of Bordeaux. Of the 29 hectare estate, 24 hectares are planted with grapes. 21 hectares are dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the red wines and three hectares are planted with Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon for the white wines. The grapes are harvested by hand, while the winemaking and ageing processes are carefully controlled by their on-site analysis laboratory.
