Chateau Jouanin is located in the Cotes de Bordeaux Castillon appellation, on the eastern fringe of the Bordeaux region. With an eight hectare vineyard fronting the right bank of the Dordogne, the clay and limestone soils produce richly concentrated wines. With a blend dominated by Merlot propped up with a sprinkling of Cabernet Franc, this estate produces wines that seriously over-deliver.
