Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion

Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion is a popular chateau in the Pessac Leognan appellation of Bordeaux, France. It was acquired by the Gervoson family in 1987 who have worked hard to restore this wine`s illustrious reputation. The immensely charming 100 hectare estate has over 72 hectares under vine, planted with 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc for the red wines and 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon for the whites. The wine is aged in barrels and the reds are aged for around 16 months in 40% new barrels while the whites receive 11 months of ageing in 100% new barrels.
