Chateau Loudenne

Chateau Loudenne

Chateau Loudenne

One of the oldest Cru Bourgeois properties, Chateau Loudenne was originally built in the 17th century. Located in the Medoc appellation of Bordeaux, on the banks of the Gironde river the chateau has a history as a major port for which many Bordeaux wines were shipped from and makes for long-standing links with the United Kingdom as an export hub. The estate has 62 hectares of vineyards, planted on gravel, clay and limestone producing wines made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. A fresh and youthful approach from estate manager Florence Lafragette sees Chateau Loudenne helping Bordeaux show off its modern and unconventional side.
