Domaine La Roquette

Domaine La Roquette

Henri Brunier, famous for Vieux Telegraphe, bought Domaine La Roquette in 1986. It’s 27 hectares of vines are planted with 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre and have an average vine age of 40 years old. The domaine is located on a stony plateau to the north of the village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhone Valley of France. A brand new winery was built in 1997 and is now run by Daniel and Frederick Brunier. The grapes are all hand picked and are fermented in stainless steel tanks to maintain refreshness and control the temperature of fermentation which normally lasts 15-20 days, followed by eight months ageing in oak barrels.
