Chateau Labegorce is located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux and records show the existence of lands belonging to `The Noble House of La Begorce` since 1332. The vineyards cover 70 hectares with 25 year old vines. The soils of the estate are made up of 70% gravel and 30% limestone. The winemaking process at Chateau Labegorce is traditional with concrete vats with the ageing process of between 12 to 15 in cask, with 35% new oak. 95% of the grapes grown at Chateau Labegorce are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making up the rest.
