The 2012 is a blend of 65% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon produced from 20 year old vines on Limestone and clay soils that are mature in oak barrels for 12 months “The nose offers mature bramble fruit, black cherries and fused with subtle oak and spice. Good weight and concentration on the palate. More dark fruits, with added plums, damsons and blackberries that are fused with mocha and a touch of graphite. Well structured and defined. Serious length. This is £15+ quality in our view. Excellent.” JG (Tasted May 2017)

Dark crimson. Round and spoilt, classy stuff. Tastes as though no expense had been spared – and I’m sure it wasn’t. Long and refreshing on the finish. Score: 16 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, March 2016
