For more than three hundred years Warre`s has produced some of the greatest Ports ever made and has played a leading role in the history of this great wine. Warres developed the ground-breaking robotic treaders that took over manual treading of the grapes to extract the juice. They have established an innovative experimental vineyard, placing the company in the forefront of viticultural research and winemaking technology.

Tempranillo
Tempranillo is a variety of widely grown black grape, and is most famously used in the wines of Spain and Portugal. Nearly every red wine from Rioja and the Ribero del Duero uses Tempranillo as the heart of their blended wines, and in Portugal, as Tinto Roriz, it is a key component of the fortified Port blend. Tempranillo wines are ruby-red in colour, with notes of red-berries, plum, tobacco, vanilla, leather, and herbs. The grape is also extensively grown in Argentina and Chile.
