This summer take a walk on the wild side and enjoy this award winning rose wine from the world renowned Domaine de la Grande Seouve in Provence. In recent years AIX rose (pronounced “ex”) has been established as one of the most definitive Provence rose wines.
The 2017 vintage is no exception, picked out in our blind tasting of 2017 rose wines, it simply wowed our tasting panel with it's blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault varietals. Grenache offers, body and empowerment to the wine, and when enjoyed young, lovely elegant aromas of red summer berries. Cinsault, a varietal which originated in the Provence wine region, brings freshness and delicacy. Finally the Syrah brings a touch of colour. One of the hallmarks of Provence rose is it’s colour, today the paler the better, our customers look for great quality and taste with just a hint of blush pink hue.

The Maison Saint Aix vineyards, one of the largest domains in the famous AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence wine making region, is ideally situated on mineral rich, clay and limestone soils at 420m above sea level. Vines of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault planted and tended on a stunning extensive plateau, offering warm days and cool nights to the extremes of the mistral winds that dry the wines on dewy mornings. Dedication and significant investment has led to a winning combination of traditional and new winemaking techniques in both the vineyard and winery.
