Festive Apple Spritz

Antica Distilleria Quaglia Aperitivo Berto, Italy NV

This elegant aperitif from near Turin is made by infusing distilled spirit with botanicals of fresh orange peel, gentian root and rhubarb. Strikes the perfect balance between Aperol and Campari; perfect for a refreshing take on a Spritz...

 

Terre di Sant'Alberto Prosecco DOC, Italy NV

 

Brannland Iscider Ember, Sweden NV

 

Ingredients

40ml       Antica Distilleria Quaglia Aperitivo Berto 

70ml       Brannland Iscider Ember

40ml       Terre di Sant'Alberto Prosecco

20ml       Soda water (optional)

Ice

Red apple and/or orange to garnish

Recipe

Put a couple of ice cubes in a glass.

Cut a few slices of either red apple and/or orange as preferred.

Add the Aperitivo Berto followed by the Brannland Iscider Ember and gently stir to combine.

Top with Terre di Sant'Alberto Prosecco and a touch of soda water.

Serve immediately and enjoy.

 

 

Scotch Sour

Adelphi DIstillery Maclean's Nose Blended Whisky, Scotland NV

The famous Whiskey Sour is usually made with Bourbon or Irish Whiskey, however, we want to put our own little twist on this classic cocktail and have opted to make a Scotch sour. It's the ideal combination of sweet, sour and smoky all in one... the perfect pour this Christmas!

Ingredients

2 oz        Adelphi DIstillery Maclean's Nose Blended Whisky 

3/4 oz    Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1/2 oz    Sugar Syrup

1/2 oz    Egg white (pasteurised)

1            Lemon or cherry (garnish)

1            Angostura bitters (garnish)

Recipe

In a shaker combine the Whisky, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white (optional).

Shake well for 30 seconds to thoroughly mix all the ingredients.

Strain back into the other half of the shaker and include the ice.

Shake again for 15-20 seconds, or until well-chilled.

Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over fresh ice, or into a Coupe without ice.

Garnish with a lemon twist, cherry or angostura bitters depending on preference.

Sit back and enjoy!

 

 

Margarita

Tapatio Reposado Tequila, Mexico NV

This brilliant Tequila Blanco displays striking mineral notes complemented by ripe apple, green pepper, clove, and white pepper spice as well as earthy undertones leading into a gloriously smoky finish. Fabulous in the UK’s favourite cocktail: the Margarita!

Ingredients

2 oz        Tapatio Reposado Tequila

½ oz       Triple Sec (Cointreau)

1oz         Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

               Salt (garnish)

               Lime wheel (garnish)

Recipe

Take your Martini glass and run a lime wedge around the rim.

Place some salt on a napkin and carefully roll the edge of the glass to create a salt rim.

In a shaker combine the Tequila Blanco, Triple Sec and lime juice and some ice cubes.

Shake well for 20 seconds and then strain into the Martini glass.

Garnish with a lime wheel. ¡Salud!

 

 

Vodka Martini

Cobalte Grape Vodka, France NV

A unique Vodka made from grapes grown in Champagne, exhibiting delicate citrus fruit and a floral edge that is enhanced by a welcome touch of bitterness on the finish. Ideal in a Vodka Martini; is yours shaken or stirred?

Ingredients

2 ½ oz   Cobalte Grape Vodka

½ oz       Dry Vermouth

               Green Olive or Lemon Twist (garnish)

 

Recipe (shaken)

Fill your cocktail shaker with ice.

Add the Vodka and Dry Vermouth and shake well / until chilled.

Strain into a Martini glass and garnish as preferred.

 

Recipe (stirred)

Combine the Vodka and Dry Vermouth in a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, filled with ice.

Stir thoroughly for 20 seconds / until well chilled.

Strain into a Martini glass and garnish as preferred.
