The 2009 is the finest vintage to date of the Nyetimber Classic Cuvee ever produced by the House". They have the classic underlying yeasty characteristic, the hallmark of good champagne. We recently tasted all these wines in the office and I was totally wowed by their overall quality and sophistication.

Nyetimber is one of England's leading sparkling wine producers. Nyetimber is in the fortunate position to own one hundred percent of their vineyards and all of their wines are produced from the 152 hectares planted at the best sites in West Sussex and Hampshire. Nyetimber's vineyards devoted exclusively to the three Champagne grapes varieties; chardonnay, pinot meunier and pinot noir. Located in southern England, it is perfect for the production of sparkling wine. The chalk seam that supplies Champagne grapes with the perfect green sand and chalky soil to flourish is the very same that runs under the lee of the South Downs.
