The Reserva wines of Marques de Riscal are made primarily from Tempranillo grapes grown on vines which at least 15 years old. Two years ageing in American oak has calmed the fresh fruit and smoothed the tannin, developing a raisiny fruit character with Morello cherries and a lovely long lick of vanilla and spice. Classic, well-crafted aged Rioja.
