Merlot

Merlot

Merlot is a red grape variety grown around the world. Used most famously in Bordeaux, Merlot's light tannin, and soft, supple character pairs perfectly with the darker, sterner, Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot wines have medium body with flavours of red berries, plums currants and vanilla. Varietally, Merlot makes for approachable wines with an easy-drinking character, that are popular with consumers the world over.
