The Hesketh family have been involved in the Australian wine industry for over sixty years, and in 2006, Jonathan and Trish Hesketh took the plunge and founded Hesketh Wines; a small, family-owned producer based in South Australia. Together the winemaking team led by Andrew Hardy and Keeda Zilm (who have over seventy years of experience between them), focus on the individual strengths of a region and work closely with growers to produce wines in the ‘Hesketh style’. high quality, sophisticated, and modern wines that offer superb value for money.

Shiraz
Shiraz is the name used for the Syrah grape in Australia, and is typically stylistically different from wines labelled Syrah from cooler regions. Deep, dark flavours of blackberry and blackcurrant, alongside notes of eucalyptus, chocolate and black pepper define Australian Shiraz, and the style has found great success in export markets for its powerful, direct nature. More recently the not-so-subtle ‘Barossa’ style has given way to wines made in a more elegant, complex fashion.
