  • Graham's Fine Tawny Port

This tawny Port from Graham's is matured in seasoned oak vats for an average of three years, allowing the wine to come into contact with the oxygen that freely permeates the wood of the barrels. The rich nutty characters of great tawny Port are here, along with a fruity, spicy character.

  • Croft Quinta da Roeda Vintage Port

Intense purple-black centre surrounded by a vivid magenta rim. A typical Quinta da Roêda Vintage Port nose made up of a rich plump dark berry compote infused with exotic notes of ripe tropical fruit and the subtle pungency of wild herbs. Warm notes of liquorice, dark chocolate and spice contribute to the wine's opulent character. The palate is smooth, round and full of rich, jammy flavour. The wine's silky texture conceals the firm, well-knit tannins which emerge on the finish to provide an attractive firmness and grip. Characteristically of the 2015 Vintage Ports, the wine is immediately appealing but will continue to gain in elegance and refinement over the next three decades.

  • Graham's Late Bottled Vintage Port

Superb wine selected from the finest grapes of what was a spectacular year. Whereas Vintage Port spends two years in casks before bottle maturing, LBV is matured in seasoned oak before being bottled at between four and six years of age - hence the term 'late bottled'. Ready for drinking upon release, but can age for ten years.

    Quinta do Noval LBV Port

Quinta do Noval were the first to produce a Late Bottled Vintage Port, in 1958. The 2009 comes from an excellent year and several years in barrel has added a line of spice and savoury herbs to the very expressive fruit notes. Perfect for drinking now, there's enough here to prove that this wine can be aged for a few more years.

  • Fonseca'Guimaraens'Port

Opaque purple-black at the centre with a very thin, purple edge. A classic Fonseca nose redolent of heady, woodland fruit, powerful but also very fine and complex. The dense blackberry and blackcurrant aromas form the backdrop for a display of fresh, minty, balsamic scents and resiny notes of gumcistus and wild herbs. Discreet hints of exotic wood, liquorice and black pepper provide an additional dimension of complexity. The thick, tightly-woven tannins provide both firmness and volume to the palate which is built around a core of dense, dark berry fruit. Plummy, raspberry flavours emerge on the long, luscious finish, giving it an attractive crispness and lift. Fonseca's 200th anniversary year has produced an exceptional Guimaraens Vintage Port, expressive and approachable but with the stamina to improve over many years in the cellar.

    Skeffington Vintage Port

One of the lesser known Port houses, Skeffington is under the control of the Fladgate Partnership who own Taylors, Croft and Fonseca. The wines are typically pure and full fruited, and the excellent 2011 vintage was no exception. Great value, and a wine to hang onto.
