Ice Cider
Founded in 2010, Brännland Cider produces exceptional artisanal ice cider from a combination of orchards in Sweden; the winter apples are hand-picked in both their home county of Västerbotten on the Baltic seaboard, as well as from a specific, carefully selected grower in the heart of the Swedish apple country in the south. The production method is exactly the same as for ice wine, whereby apples are frozen during the depths of winter and thus concentrating the natural sugars and then in the Spring cider must is extracted (between 35-40 Brix), which is fermented slowly to create a wonderful, sweet yet balanced ice cider.
