The 2011 vintage of Coudolet was helped by a hot spring and a long Indian summer, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly with rich concentration and superb acidity. Bright and lively with red fruit and fragrant woody herbs. Known as the baby Beaucastel, each vintage of Coudolet is taken from a 30-hectare plot of vines east of the Beaucastel vineyard. The hand-picked grapes are classically macerated and aged in large oak barrels for six months. 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre and 20% each of Syrah and Cinsault.
