Founder and Chairman of Bon Coeur Fine Wines, James spends his days running the private client and corporate sales teams. As Chairman of the Board and head of the Bon Coeur Wine Buying Team, James is a man whose inexhaustible passion and proficient palate for wine is tested equally on a daily basis. With over 20-years in the wine business, James has a capacious library of wine knowledge and an impressive black book of contacts. His day job sees a focus on guiding customers through the intricacies of Fine Wines for both investment and drinking, helping customers build working private fine wine cellars.

Managing Director of Bon Coeur, Samantha joined in 2006 from a successful career in Corporate Finance. Samantha ensures the smooth running of the business, keeping up with the market sentiment and implementing new technology into the business. Looking for new opportunities to drive Bon Coeur forward and working with winemakers and partners on current and future projects. Chardonnay fan and summertime chilled red wine drinker, Samantha is also an integral part of the Bon Coeur buying team.

After stints in a large national and a multi-national organisation as a chartered accountant, Jonathon joined Bon Coeur in 2016. As Finance Director, Jonathon works alongside Samantha and James to form and implement the Bon Coeur strategy, as well as overseeing the day to day finance and operational aspects of the business. During the summer he can be found cycling the hills of North Yorkshire, and winter on a squash court for Darlington Squash Club. He’s partial to a white Burgundy or Provence Rose when the sun’s out, or a punchy Italian Red when it’s not.

Wine Buyer and Private Client Manager, avid rugby fan and foodie Andrew took his first foray into the world of wine when he lived in the region of La Rioja, Spain. Andrew advises and guides Bon Coeur customers, helping them find the right wine for their needs and is also responsible for buying (specialising in Spain and Italy).

Rachel is an associate director of the company and heads up the training and development side of the business working across both on and off trade channels. Rachel holds her WSET Level 4 diploma in Wine and Spirits and is a certified wine educator, delivering WSET Level 1 and 2 courses to our trade customers. Her love of wine has taken her to wine regions across the globe. She has an affinity with classic French and Italian wines but also enjoys discovering new wines, championing up and coming regions and exciting new wave winemakers. “The wine world is continually changing which makes the subject so fascinating.” When she is not drinking wine or eating out, she spends a lot of time running and practising Yoga.

Ben is one of our On-Trade account managers, covering Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire , Lincolnshire and the Humber, and joined Bon Coeur 8 years ago. He has worked in the hospitality industry since he was 18, and before joining Bon Coeur, managed various bars, restaurants, small hotels and even the odd nightclub! Ben’s passion for wine started from his parents who have produced wine in both the Uk and South Africa, and it continues to this day.

On-Trade Account Manager for North of Scotch Corner, Charles Joined Bon Coeur after working in hospitality from age sixteen. He has a passion for great food, wine service and pairing. He loves creating with restaurateurs and chefs interesting yet commercially viable wine lists for their Restaurants, Bars and Hotels. On days off can be found on the beach and or in the wilderness of Northumberland with his sidekick Percy the Wirehaired Vizsla.
