Aligote
Aligote
An extremely crisp grape, Aligote is known for producing wines with very fresh acidity. It is grown in Burgundy, where it is used in varietal wines and Cremant de Bourgogne, a sparkling wine. Aligote is also found in Eastern European vineyards, notably in Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine. In the right hands the best examples are balancing acts of citrus, hazelnut and peach.
