Pinot Blanc
Pinot Blanc
Pinot Blanc is a mutation of Pinot Noir, and produces full-bodied white wines, and is mainly found planted in France’s Alsace region, along with Germany, Italy, Hungary and Slovakia. Wines made from Pinot Blanc are normally dry, with a floral character and flavours of green apples and citrus, often underlined by a slight smokiness. More expensive varietal examples may be fermented in oak barrels which adds depth and complexity to the finished wine.
