Pinot Gris
Pinot Gris
Pinot Gris is produced widely, most famously in Germany and France’s Alsace region, along with New World plantings in Oregon and New Zealand. Wines made from Pinot Gris vary greatly from region to region. Typically with flavours of pears, apples and stone-fruit, Pinot Gris can be made in a range of styles, from bone-dry to sweet late-harvest examples. Though the same grape, Pinot Gris should not be confused with Pinot Grigio - a refreshing Italian style made from earlier picked grapes, with higher acidity.
