Rousanne

Roussanne is a white wine grape grown originally in the Rhone wine region in France, where it is often blended with Marsanne. Now found in many regions, notably Australia, Tuscany and California‘s Central Coast, the grapes are distinguished by their russet-brown colour when ripe. Wines made with Rousanne are floral and herbaceous, with warmer climate examples exhibiting rich flavours of honey and pear. In cooler climates the delicate floral notes are accentuated, and the wine will have higher acidity.
