Located in the famous Margaret River region of Western Australia, Cape Mentelle was established in 1970 by brothers David, Mark and Giles Hohnen. The estate`s now iconic single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons helped establish Margaret River as a premium wine region in the 1980`s and the maritime influence of the Indian Ocean provides the climatic conditions which make wines from Margaret River so distinctive. Today an innovative, young team are now taking on the challenge and forging ahead with the goal of maintaining the winery’s tradition of pioneering spirit and uncompromising commitment to excellence.
