Cartuxa
Cartuxa is one of the oldest wineries in Portugal and is steeped in history with records dating back to 1517. Many years later in 1871, the Eugénio de Almeida family purchased the estate and over the centuries have heavily invested in, and expanded vineyard holdings, so that the property is regarded as one of the pioneers in the region, producing exciting wines from indigenous varietals.
