Chateau Canon
Chateau Canon
Chateau Canon is located in the St. Emilion appellation of the Bordeaux wine region of France. The majority of the Chateau Canon estate lies on a south-west facing limestone terrace whilst the rest of the estate lies on the gentle slopes of the hill that eases down to the Dordogne River. The 22 hectare vineyards are plotted on limestone soils with a thin layer of clay on top. The grapes grown are 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc as they are well suited to the terroir of the estate. Chateau Canon annually produces on average 7,500 cases of the Grand vin Chateau Canon and the second wine Clos de Canon.
