Chateau Cantemerle
Chateau Cantemerle
Grand Cru Classe estate Chateau Cantemerle is one of the leading chateaux in the Haut-Medoc area. With 90 hectares of vineyard the soil at Chateau Cantemerle is a mixture of silica and gravel which helps contribute to the grape maturity as the sun reflects off the small pebbles and the heat is retained during the night. The grape varieties grown at Chateau Cantemerle are 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, with the average age of these vines being about 30 years.
