Chateau Cos D’Estournel is a 91-hectare estate located in the Saint-Estephe appellation of Bordeaux, with a striking British Raj influenced chateau and highly regarded Second Growth wines. Owned by Michel Raybier, his objective has been to uphold the chateau’s high standards and constant quest for excellence while at the same time continuing the avant-garde style initiated by Louis Gaspard d’Estournel. The vineyard is made up of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. With an average age of 35 years, the vines are densely planted with between 8,000 and 10,000 vines per hectare. Recent vintages have been on top form, and have won critical acclaim.
