Chateau de Laborde

Chateau de Laborde

Founded in 1119, the Chateau de Laborde boasts a long and rich history, however, it never hit its stride until it was purchased by Hervé Kerlann in 1998, who invested heavily in both winery and vineyards and in 2000 planted the first vines at the estate once again connecting it to its viticultural past. The estate now comprises of 4 hectares, with grapes purchased via long-term contracts from a further 5 hectares of select vines, which Herve vinifies, ages and bottles himself at the Château. He defines his winemaking as using the best resources available to him, producing wines that give pleasure first and foremost.
