Chateau Doisy-Vedrines is located on the clay-limestone rise in Haut Barsac, and is a renowned producer of Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc sweet wines. Classified as a Grand Cru Classe Second Growth in the 1855 classification, the estate was part of the larger Doisy estate before being broken up in the early 1850`s. The soil is ploughed in the traditional way and the grapes are hand-picked in several waves throughout harvest. The Chateau has 35 hectres under vine and is planted with 80% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon and 5% Muscadelle.
