Chateau Fombrauge is situated on the extension of the plateau and limestone hills of St. Emilion in Bordeaux. Its vast size promotes a diversity of soils and exposures that give the wine its complexity and Fombrauge identity. Chateau Fombrauge is one of the oldest chateaux with roots reaching back to the sixteenth century. The average age of the vines at Chateau Fombrauge is 35 years and are planted in a number of varieties - Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris for the whites and Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds.
