Chateau Gazin

Chateau Gazin

Located in Pomerol, nestled alongside Petrus and Evangile, Chateau Gazin traces its winemaking history back to the second half of the 19th century. The chateau was acquired by Louis Soualle in 1917 and has passed through five generations of family since. Covering a rich terroir of iron-rich gravelly clay soil on the upper terrace of the Pomerol plateau, the 26 hectares of vineyard is planted with 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. The low yields, excellent terroir and sensible pricing policy make this one of the best value Pomerol going.
