Chateau Grand Mayne

Chateau Grand Mayne is located in the St. Emilion appellation of Bordeaux. The vineyards are at the foot of a limestone plateau, 55 metres above sea level. The vines face south-west and are planted on the clay-limestone hillside. The original estate was 62 hectares but today it is 21 hectares, formed from the heart of the original estate. Jean Nony purchased the estate in 1934 and it has remained in his family ever since. The wine is a blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled-stainless steel vats and the wine is aged in oak barriques for 18 months
