Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion
Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion
Chateau la Mission Haut-Brion is a Bordeaux wine from the Pessac-Leognan appellation, classed among the Grand Crus in the Graves classification of 1953. Despite sharing ownership and a winemaking team with Chateau Haut-Brion, the wine style is very different from the famous first growth. This is due to a slightly richer soil and flatter appellation land, which makes for concentrated, powerful, densely structured wines. Located close to the centre of Bordeaux, La Mission Haut-Brion gets its `Mission` title from several centuries previous, when it was run by a group of Lazerite priests.
