Chateau Lalande-Borie

Chateau Lalande-Borie

More recently established than most, Lalande-Borie was created in 1970 when Jean-Eugene Borie purchased a 30-hectare plot in Saint-Julien. Lending the name of the plot’s terroir and his own surname to the new property, Borie set about creating some very fine, very reputable Saint-Julien wines. Today the property is managed by Bruno Borie, along with Ducru-Beaucaillou, and the gravel-clay soils produce well-structured, fleshy Cabernet Sauvignon dominant wines, with great elegance and finesse.
