Chateau Lynch-Moussas
Chateau Lynch-Moussas
A well-known estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux, until 1824 Chateau Lynch-Moussas was part of the larger estate of Thomas Lynch, an Irishman who married a local countess. After being divided in two, it received Fifth Growth status in the 1855 classification, and is currently owned by the Borie-Manoux wine business. The 55-hectares of vines are planted on gravelly soils and divided two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon to one-third Merlot. The resulting wines are rich and full with good tannin and acidity, making them perfect for medium-term ageing.
