In 1980, the new owners of Chateau Meaume, Alan and Sue Johnson-Hill, undertook an ambitious programme of modernising the vineyard and winery. Set in beautiful countryside, 15 kilometres from the famous wine districts of St Emilion and Pomerol, Chateau Meaume represents a striking example of how ancient tradition and modern technology can combine in the making of a fantastic wine. This is one of the most popular Bordeaux wines on our list and offers great value for money. We have had this wine on our list for many years, and are always impressed by its consistent quality year after year.
