Chateau Pedesclaux
Chateau Pedesclaux
Another old Pauillac estate currently feeling the benefits of an ambitious owner with grand plans and money to spend, Chateau Pedesclaux has very recently undergone a complete winery and vineyard renovation. First established in 1810, 95 percent of the 48-hectare vineyard is planted to equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with the remaining five percent holding Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc vines. There has been a significant upswing in quality over the past twenty years, and this structured, full-bodied Fifth Growth is showing strong growth in popularity and acclaim as it enters its third century of life.
