Chateau Pouget

Chateau Pouget

A Margaux property that flies under the radar, despite its Fourth Growth status and extended history – the estate was established in 1748. Located on a back street close to the small town of Margaux, Pouget is unique amongst the grand estates of the Left bank in that it doesn’t have a chateau, but only a small converted country house. The 10 hectares of organically farmed vines are planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The property is currently owned by the Guillemet family, who also count Chateau Boyd-Cantenac amongst their Margaux holdings.
