Chateau Thebot
Chateau Thebot
Tucked away in the north-east corner of the Bordeaux appellation, Chateau Thebot is a 12 hectare estate lying on ground of clay, chalk and gravel which runs alongside the Dordogne River. Planted with vines that have an average age of 25 years, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc make up the vineyards, with the final blend of wine normally 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The finished product is typical of character filled Merlot - rich and full flavoured with red and dark fruit characteristics. Some barrel ageing softens the wine and adds a light, well-integrated oak flavour.
