Daniel Rion

Daniel Rion created this family run estate in 1955 and it has been run by siblings Olivier, Christophe and Pascale Rion since 2000. It began with two hectares of vines and today consists of 18 hectares over six villages in the Cote de Nuits appellation of Burgundy. The vines vary in age from 25 years up to 60 years old. These old vines were selected for the high quality of their fruits. The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand. This manual method also enables sorting of the grapes in the vineyard to integrate into the crop only healthy, ripe fruit.
