Founded in 1850 by Joao Goncalves Henriques, the company got its name when Joao`s two sons took over the family business in 1912. As one of the largest producers on the famous wine island of Madeira, located south of the Portugese mainland, Henriques & Henriques are well-known for producing the sweet wines inextricably linked with Madeira. They also make a range of dry wines perfect for aperitif drinking. The consistently excellent quality of these wines makes them great value and an interesting addition to any cellar.
