Based in beautiful North Yorkshire, Nine Tines was created by two families with a shared passion for three simple things. the Yorkshire landscape; the power of heritage and legacy; and a desire to craft a unique collection of delicious premium spirits with integrity at its heart. Passionate about nature and heritage of their iconic surroundings, Nine Tines are keen to minimise their impact on this landscape; they`re careful never to over-farm their land and craft their spirits only nine miles from the potato fields. Since the wonderful potato is so central to their success, it seemed only right to honour it in the name. `Nine Tines` is an affectionate nod to the `tines` – or prongs – on a traditional potato farming fork; what historians would call a sippet. With specially rounded ends to ensure the precious potatoes are not damaged when hand turning, a sippet traditionally had nine or ten tines in a simple row.
