Santa Tresa offers roots back back to 1697, but it was only in the early 1990s that siblings, Stefano and Marina Girelli, wine entrepreneurs from Trentino in Northern Italy, discovered these
clandestine vineyards near Vittoria, Sicily. 2001 saw sister and brother purchasing the winery, an exciting milestone for Santa Tresa’s history. Immediately they embarked on an expansive
renovation project, overhauling the entire estate which now crafts vibrant, pure, and exciting wines from native grapes such as Grillo, Frappato, and Nero d’Avola.
