Sherry has experienced a welcomed revival in the last few years. Now, not just for your Granny, sherry is without doubt a most versatile and inventive drink, enjoyed as an aperitif, pudding wine or as a cocktail ingredient. A fortified wine made from white grapes, Sherry is produced in the southern coastal peninsula of Spain in the region of Cadiz. A full range of taste spectrum is available to buy online; from the classic dry Fino sherries, to the nuttiness of an Amontillado through to the sweetest opulence of Pedro Ximenez, fabulous served as a dessert wine or simply poured over ice cream. Always store sherry standing never lay down, ideally in a dark cool room. Fino and Manzanilla should be drunk within a few weeks of opening whilst those of a more creamy, sweeter nature will keep for longer.
